Applying for BEEP

To apply for Brookline Early Educaiton Program, please visit the BEEP webiste at http://brooklinebeep.org

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications for enrollment can be mailed to the BEEP Administrative Office between September 15 and November 15 each year. Please be advised that this is NOT a first come first served process for incoming new families. All new applications submitted between September 15, 2008 and November 15 will bear equal weight.

Some things for NEW FAMILIES to bear in mind:

• Be flexible when choosing classroom locations: Not everyone will be able
to send their child to closest BEEP classroom. Please number the programs
you are willing to accept in order of preference. Be sure to check if your
child is age eligible. (To see a map of classroom locations and
descriptions, click here.)

• Throughout December: All parents who have applied are invited to an
application meeting to learn more about the program. Any parent unable to
attend that meeting should contact the BEEP administrative office at 617
713-5471 to schedule an alternative meeting.

• Late January: Admissions decisions are made and notifications are sent
to families. At this time a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $600 is required to
confirm a child’s placement in a BEEP classroom.

APPLICATION POLICY
• First priority in admission is given to those children returning from the previous year, and to siblings of students formerly enrolled in our program.
• We make every attempt to balance our classes appropriately. Factors that are considered include, but are not limited to, gender, age, primary language, special need, home school district and prior school experience.
• Age cut-offs are strictly followed.
• Proof of Brookline residency is required.
• The Brookline Early Education Program does not discriminate on the basis or race, gender, ethnic origin or marital status, disability, sexual orientation or political affiliation.

SCHOLARSHIP CONSIDERATION
Scholarships are available for families that qualify. Please visit the BEEP website at http://brooklinebeep.org for more information.
